Theme Days Calendar

July 7th 2015
Hello Parents & Guardians!
Your children had so much fun at Oh How Healthy! Nutrition class. The veggie of the day was kale and we got to make and try kale chips. We discussed about the importance of eating a well balanced diet and why it’s always smart to look and read the ingredients list of any packaged item. Children learned that the first item listed on any ingredients list is mostly what that item is made out of. We also learned that if you can not read or figure out what an ingredient is, chances are your body won’t be able to figure out what its eating either. We brainstormed together why the kale didn’t have an ingredients list then discovered it was not something man-made, instead it was picked from nature! Eating from nature is always best. The kale chips were a hit and the kids loved trying something new!

We LOVE going to Stratosphere and jumping with the counselors!
